Bank Holidays 2021/2022

Lessons that fall on Thursday 17th March and Monday 2nd May will be given during the February Mid Term Break, on Monday 21st February and Thursday 24th February.

***These lessons form part of our academic calendar and cannot be rescheduled.***

Enrolment

Students enroll for the FULL academic year from September to May. If due to exceptional circumstances the student cannot complete the full year, a minimum of 6 weeks notice is required. This notice must be given in writing to the office and not to the teacher. Classes will be charged where no notice has been given. If government advice leads to the temporary closure of the school, Students enrolled will be given online lessons. No deferrals or refunds are offered in this situation.

 

Forms

Re-enrolment forms together with deposit/s must be returned by the published dates in order for lessons to be booked.

Lesson times cannot be reserved in the case where re-enrolment forms are not returned.

 

Fees

Fees must be paid in advance and are non-returnable, except in the case of cancellation by the school. A staged payment facility or standing order can be arranged with the office administration.

 

Lessons

Lessons missed by a student will not be rescheduled or credited. Lessons missed by a teacher will either be covered by a suitable deputy teacher or be given to the student at a later date, at the discretion of the Churchtown School of Music. An agreed rescheduled class missed by the student will not be rescheduled or credited.

 

Timetable

Every effort will be made to accommodate requests for lesson times. However, the allocations of times are subject to teacher, room and timetable availability. CSM reserves the right to change class timetables or teachers if necessary.

 

Examinations

Students wishing to enter for external examinations do so with the consent of their teacher.

 

Notification of Illness

Students or guardians must notify CSM if they are suffering from an illness or allergy. CSM office must be notified of any serious medical conditions such as diabetes, epilepsy or other conditions requiring medication and consideration. Please see calendar.

 

Property

CSM cannot accept responsibility for damage or loss of property.

 

Safety and Student Behaviour

Students are expected to behave in a reasonable manner while in CSM and the school premises and property must be treated respectfully at all times.

Before, after and in between classes, responsibility for the welfare of the students rests with the parent or guardian.

Please ensure that children arrive promptly for the start of lessons and are collected promptly upon completion.

Students should be collected from inside CSM.

The waiting areas in CSM are quiet areas for students awaiting classes. Please do not allow students or siblings to create a distraction for the students in neighbouring rooms.
